Go ahead, get your calendars ready to mark down.  We’ll wait.

With that out of the way, Oregon State Wednesday announced they have reached an agreement on a future home-and-home series with San Jose State.  The Beavers will host the Spartans Sept. 15, 2015, in Corvallis, then travel to San Jose for a rematch Sept. 9, 2020.

The 2015 meeting will be the first for the two programs since Oct. 4, 1997.  That year marked Mike Riley‘s first season with the Beavers.

The press release announcing the home-and-home series noted that “[t]he 2015 non-conference schedule is tentatively complete with games also scheduled Sept. 5 at home vs. Weber State and Sept. 12 at Michigan.” Why the word “tentatively” was used is unclear.

That could actually be a pretty good matchup down the line.
