Oklahoma State will go into the 2013 without a definitive starter at the quarterback position. Unfortunately, the Cowboys will also (reportedly) head into it without the player projected to protect whichever quarterback’s blind side.
According to the esteemed Gina Mizell of the Daily Oklahoman, and citing an OSU source, Devin Davis has suffered a torn ACL and will likely be sidelined for the entire 2013 season. It’s unclear when the injury occurred.
As of yet, the Cowboys have not addressed the redshirt sophomore’s injury or his availability for the upcoming season.
In 2012, Davis played in seven games, which included two starts. He was expected to be the starting left tackle when the Cowboys open the season Saturday against Mississippi State.
