Auburn will be down a starting DT vs. Wazzu

Jeffrey Whitaker, Justin Manton AP

Already down a starter defensive end for the opener, Auburn finds itself without another starting member of that unit.

Per, defensive tackle Jeff Whitaker was seen on the field during pregame warmups walking around with the aid of crutches.  The Tigers subsequently confirmed that Whitaker will not play.

There’s no word yet on what the specific nature of the injury is.

When healthy, Whitaker has started every game the past two seasons, a total of 22 in all.  He was listed as a starter on AU’s most recent depth chart.

Good grief, Romulus, who sucked out your sense of humor? As always, darlin’, I’ll post as I please. You’d think after a win like that you’d be a lil happier. Should I assume you were cheering for the Tide today? LOL

You are dumber than a bag of hammers. Must be a crimson neck.

And you’re a pompous fool … as the name implies. Have a nice day.
