Unfortunately, Houston’s 49-point win in the season opener came at a steep price.
UH head coach Tony Levine confirmed Sunday that starting left tackle Ralph Oragwu suffered a torn ACL in the win over Southern Saturday. As a result, obviously, Oragwu will miss the remainder of the 2013 season.
The Houston Chronicle reports that the lineman may seek a sixth season of eligibility from the NCAA.
Last season, Oragwu started 10 games, all at right tackle. Because of injuries, he moved to the other side of the line during summer camp.
