Ball State’s leading rusher out vs. Army

Jahwan Edwards AP

With kickoff just minutes — or even seconds away — Ball State’s offense has been dealt a very significant hit.

Just a short time ago, the Cardinals announced that running back Jahwan Edwards will not play in today’s game against Army.  Edwards is still dealing with the effects of a concussion he suffered last week.

Last season, Edwards’ 1,410 yards led the Cardinals and was tied for 22nd — with Johnny Manziel — at the FBS level.

With Edwards sidelined, BSU will turn to Horactio Banks, who was second on the team in 2012 with 586 yards.
