BYU, Texas waiting out weather delay

Texas BYU Football AP

BYU and Texas were supposed to kick off shortly after 7pm eastern, but almost an hour later the two schools are sitting and waiting for inclement weather to move past Provo, Utah. Both teams were forced to suspend their on-field warm-ups and roughly 30 minutes before the game was scheduled to kick off officials announced the game would be temporarily suspended.

No time has been confirmed for a new kickoff, but the safety of the players and fans attending the game is certainly a priority this evening.

Desert News has a nice photo gallery of how the storm is washing out this notable game between the Cougars and Longhorns.

Horns forgot to block and tackle. Looks like last year when they actually play someone.

Unfortunately for Texas the weather delay was not long enough. They eventually had to play the game. BYU played football, I do not know what game texas was playing. Great job Mack Brown, you are correct the Longhorns are back (way, way back).
