I can’t begin to tell you how many times over the past several years I’ve wondered what it would be like if Eminem set up shop in the broadcast booth of a college football game, even if for just a few minutes at halftime.
Thankfully, my wondering — and that of most of North America, undoubtedly — is over.
During halftime of the Notre Dame-Michigan game, the rapper formerly/currently known as Marshall Mathers joined Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit in the broadcast booth in what could only be described as the American version of a Dennis Rodman/Kim Jong-un sitdown. While Eminem was there to premier his new video for a song that will be used on Saturday Night Football, the discussion inevitably led to Musburger discussing NFL point spreads with Mr. Mathers and OMG I can now cross that off my bucket list and die happy.
For those who missed it, yes, it was as real and spectacular as it sounds. And, thanks to Land-Grant Holy Land, we have photographic proof of the historic development:
Suffice to say, Twitter exploded in a Miley-twerking kind of way. Below is but a small sampling of what was being said in the wake of the greatest thing that’s ever happened in the history of ‘Merica.
