BYU, Wisconsin adjust future schedules

Have you had enough scheduling news for one day? Well, too bad because there is one more story to mention.

Wisconsin and BYU have a home-and-home series originally scheduled to be played in 2017 and 2018. The 2017 game scheduled to be played in Provo, Utah at BYU has been moved back to 2019, Wisconsin announced today. The 2018 game in Madison will remain where it is, although a date has not been locked down for the game just yet. The rescheduled 2019 game does not have a definite date yet either.

Wisconsin is likely holding off on putting ink on exact dates until having a better sense of future Big Ten schedules. The Big Ten has released conference schedules through 2017 and the conference is moving to a nine-game scheduling format in 2016. The 2019 schedule for the Badgers should be a good one. Per FBSchedules.com, Wisconsin has non-conference games scheduled against BYU, Washington and Virginia Tech. Throw in division games against Nebraska, Iowa and whatever opponents Wisconsin gets in crossover matches in Big Ten play and that should be one schedule worthy of respect when it comes to the College Football Playoff.

Wisconsin’s 2017 non-conference schedule currently has a home game against Florida Atlantic (September 9) and a road trip to South Florida (September 16), with open dates before Florida Atlantic and after South Florida.

Wisconsin hosts BYU this season as well, on November 9. The Badgers also confirmed a schedule for 2015 which includes a season opener against Alabama and Hawaii. Wisconsin also announced a future road game at Hawaii in 2021 and a return trip by the Rainbow Warriors in 2022.
