Gators suspend WR Demarcus Robinson for Vols game

When Florida takes on rival Tennessee Saturday afternoon, one of the top members’ of the Gators’ 2013 recruiting class will be decidedly unavailable.

The Gators announced via Twitter a short time ago that Demarcus Robinson has been suspended for the game against the Volunteers. “Violation of team rules,” of course, was the reason given for the punitive measure.

According to Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post, the wide receiver is the sixth Gator to be suspended for at least one game this season.

Robinson has yet to catch a pass this season. A four-star member of UF’s recruiting class this year, Robinson was rated as the No. 5 receiver in the country and the No. 52 player at any position nationally.
