So, Syracuse found its quarterback

Looks like Syracuse has found its quarterback.

When sophomore Terrel Hunt completed 15 of 18 passes for 265 yards and three touchdowns last week for the Orange, the excitement was tempered by the fact the the opponent was Wagner.

One week later, that excitement has been validated...at least somewhat.

Hunt made his first career start and completed 16 of 21 passes for 181 yards and four touchdowns while also adding 39 rushing yards and a score, as Syracuse crushed Tulane, 52-17, to even its record at 2-2.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Hunt is now 33 of 43 on the season (.767) for 468 yards and seven touchdowns with no interceptions. His passer rating is an astronomical 221.89.

That’s a fantastic start for a guy who didn’t throw a pass in college until two games ago.

But how good is he really? We’ll find out next week when No. 3 Clemson comes to town. For now, however, Hunt gives Syracuse some hope heading into ACC play.
