Floyd Mayweather ready to gamble on Johnny Football again

It seems Floyd Mayweather loves making money off of Texas A&M’s quarterback, Johnny Manziel. Hey, get in line Floyd.

Earlier this week we learned Mayweather had placed a healthy $220,000 wager on the first half spread of the Texas A&M-SMU game last weekend, netting him a nice sum of $200,000. When you can afford to drop that large of a bet in return for a six-figure payout, why not continue riding with Johnny Football and the Aggies? That is what Mayweather says he will be doing again this week.

“Johnny Football never has an off day,” Mayweather said on Howard Stern’s radio show Wednesday, as noted by USA Today. Mayweather told the famous radio show host Wednesday he plans to lay $300,000 on Manziel’s Aggies as they take on Arkansas this weekend. Texas A&M is a three-point favorite on the road against the Razorbacks, which actually seems like safe bet.

I just don’t have $300,000 to drop on it the way Mayweather does, not that I recommend this of course.

For the record, Texas A&M has beaten the spread the last two weeks, while Arkansas has not in three straight games.

That being said, I hope A&M loses by 20. Not that it would matter to the man who just netted a $41.5 Million purse three weeks ago.

Is this the definition of ‘square money making a square play’?

Money May has netted 71 mil not counting his PPV cut this year alone. This is like the rest of us betting five bucks. He could lose that wager every day of the week and not be affected

I’m neutral in this SEC West battle and won’t wish a loss for either of these teams. But I hope Mayweather loses his bet. His gambling successes just encourage people who can’t afford to take the same risks he can. The “sure thing” doesn’t exist. Let him be the poster child for that lesson.

“Johnny Football has never has an off day.”

    Truth.

And if you can get A&M -3, you should put your life savings into that bet. Just tell me where I can do that, and I will pony up right next to Mayweather.

Yeah there’s no way that line is even close to 3 once released.

It is interesting that NONE of the regular Vegas houses have offered a line on this game.

Is it because the Arky QB’s are both banged up and questionable, or is it because Darren Rovell is slinging more baseless mud about Johnny Manziel on Twitter?

No line means no bets, ladies.

I think the D grew up a lot last week only giving up 6 untile the snd stringers came on. That said SMU has the 92nd ranked scoring offense so its not like they beat up on a heavyweight.

Regardless, it was marked improvement all around. The Hogs aren’t near as potent as they used to be on offense, in the bottom half of FBS in scoring so far this year.

Yea I just don’t see how this line would be close to 3…

If there’s anything that will endear Mayweather more with the American public than beating up women, it’s nonchalantly gambling four times the average American’s salary on college football…

    @classyjacklambert

That’s right… didn’t he do a little stint up the river right before this last fight?

Sportsbook.com just put the A&M-Arkansas game on the board this afternoon and A&M is favored by 14. Like others have said no legit place ever had the line at 3.

Yep just saw that, fate. Not even close.
