Arkansas starting QB returns for Texas A&M showdown

Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema is excited for his first game against Texas A&M Saturday afternoon, and why not? The Razorbacks and Aggies have a long history and were reunited in the SEC West last year when the Aggies joined the SEC. Bielema is also happy to know that his team’s starting quarterback will be back on the field directing the offense against Texas A&M.

Bielema announced, via Twitter, Brandon Allen will be back with the team.

Allen was knocked out of a game against Southern Mississippi with a shoulder injury in week three and sat out last weekend’s road loss at Rutgers. In the time he has played, Allen has completed 59.1 percent of his passes for 388 yards, five touchdown and one interception mostly in two full games.

Allen is eager to get back as well.

Arkansas is probably going to need some points to pull an upset against Texas A&M. Having the team’s starting quarterback on the field will certainly help the cause for Arkansas.
