Army loses starting safety for a month

Army played without one of its top defensive in its win over Louisiana Tech. Unfortunately, that’s something the service academy will be forced to get used to for the next month or so.

Starting safety Geoff Bacon underwent surgery on an injured wrist earlier in the week and did not travel with the team to Louisiana. As a result of the procedure, the senior will miss up to four weeks.

Bacon is a three-year starter and is currently second on the team in tackles. He was the Black Knights leading tackler in 2012.
