UCLA loses starting tackle to broken ankle

The Pac-12 win for UCLA Thursday night that kept the Bruins unbeaten on the season came at a very steep cost to its offensive line.

Starting offensive tackle Torian White suffered what was diagnosed as a broken ankle in the second quarter of the Bruins’ 34-27 win over Utah.  While head coach Jim Mora did not deem it to be a season-ending injury, he did state that the lineman will be out for “an extended amount of time.”

As a redshirt freshman in 2012, White started all 14 games.  He had started the first five games of the 2013 season as well.

Redshirt sophomore Ben Wysocki is listed as White’s backup on the Bruins’ most recent depth chart.
