Louisville wide receiver DeVante Parker has an injured right shoulder and his participation in Thursday’s game with Rutgers will be a game-time decision, Cardinals coach Charlie Strong said on Monday.
The junior went down in the first quarter of UL’s 30-7 win over Temple this past weekend. The injury ended his streak of 10-straight games with at least one touchdown. He later had an MRI, but Strong did not divulge the severity of the injury.
Parker is the leading receiver for the Cardinals with 21 receptions for 375 yards and six TDs.
His potential loss shouldn’t sting too much for UL. The Cardinals have a very deep receiving corps, so Teddy Bridgewater will still have plenty of targets to choose from against Rutgers.
