While Rice is not a part of the high-profile Week 7 slate of games, the Owls could/should get back its most productive offensive player in the push to up its record to 4-2.
Following practice Friday, running back Charles Ross said that he expects to play in today’s game against UT-San Antonio. Ross has missed the past three games after suffering a sprained medial collateral ligament in the second quarter of the third game of the season against Houston.
Ross fully participated in practice for the first time this week since suffering the injury.
Despite playing in just over two games this year, Ross still leads the Owls with 319 yards rushing and four rushing touchdowns. The No. 2 rusher is Darik Dillard and his 182 yards in five games.
