Ducks gaining on Tide in Bovada’s BCS odds

It’s been a couple of weeks since we checked in on Bovada.lv‘s odds for the 2013 BCS title. In that time, it appears one Pac-12 school has impressed those setting the lines.

While Alabama remains the favorite as it has all season, Oregon has closed the gap. In the latest set of odds released by Bovada, the Tide sits at 7/4 while the Ducks are at 11/5;last week, it was 19/10 for the former and 7/2 for the latter. The Ducks are up from 15/4 just two weeks ago.

Of the first 10 teams on Bovada‘s BCS board, four remained unchanged from seven days ago: Ohio State (6/1), Florida State (12/1), Louisville (25/1) and Miami (25/1).

Texas A&M made one of the biggest moves upward, jumping from 50/1 a week ago to 25/1. Others moving up included Clemson (12/1, from 14/1) and LSU (14/1, from 25/1).

Conversely, Baylor dipped from 10/1 to 12/1 while Stanford performed a free fall from 14/1 to 100/1 thanks to the loss to Utah.

A total of five teams were taken off Bovada‘s board: Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. The Sooners and Bulldogs had been at 25/1, the best odds of any of the five taken off.
