Preliminary talks underway for future LSU-Penn State game

LSU has already confirmed a future two-game, neutral-site series against Wisconsin. Now, it appears, the SEC school is looking to add another Big Ten program to its future schedule.

After the game was “accidentally” posted on the Big Ten Network’s website Wednesday, Penn State officials confirmed that they have held discussions with LSU regarding a future game. LSU officials, however, cautioned that the talks “are very early in the process.”

The talks that have occurred have centered around the possibility of a game being played in 2020. The Tigers’ series with Wisconsin is scheduled for 2014 at Houston’s Reliant Stadium and 2016 at Lambeau Field.

An LSU-Penn State game -- there’s no public talk as of yet of a two-game set -- would also be a neutral-site matchup. Just where the game would occur is something that neither school has divulged.
