Alabama’s Ha Ha Clinton-Dix reinstated

HaHa Clinton-Dix AP

Alabama’s secondary will receive a boost this weekend. Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has been officially reinstated by the NCAA and is cleared to play. Clinton-Dix served a two-game suspension for a violation of team rules after being tied to an investigation relating to impermissible benefits. The NCAA has cleared Clinton-Dix and ruled he is eligible to play immediately.

Clinton-Dix is one of the top NFL prospects playing safety in the country, so the impact of his return should not be taken lightly. Alabama’s pass defense ranks second in the SEC, and it should only get stronger with the return of Clinton-Dix. The Tide may not be giving up a lot of passing yards, but they have just four interceptions this season. Clinton-Dix led Alabama with four interceptions last season.

Alabama faces Arkansas this weekend. The Razorbacks are ranked at the bottom of the sEC in passing offense and have been intercepted five times this season.

bama is a school with no integrity and rules. i do not care how much they win when you have to cheat and bend the rules it means nothing. similar to a degree from Bama, means NOTHING.

An Alabama degree is as valued as a degree from Notre Dame. Remember Prince Shembo?

I think tony will be griping the same gripe against the next team that runs things for a few years.

This must be so terribly upsetting for fans of schools that go 7-5 every year but -do things the right way-.

Explain how Alabama cheated and had no integrity in this situation? It was Alabama who discovered that Clinton-Dix had taken an impermissible loan from an assistant strength coach, it was Alabama who suspended him and the coach in question, and it was Alabama who self-reported the issue to the NCAA as required by the rules. Alabama could have very easily swept this under the rug and just pretended it didn’t happen, but it did not. I’m not saying the Tide is as pure as the driven snow when it comes to the rules (but who is?) but it would seem this situation was handled as it should have been. Any other examples you wish to use?

Don’t whine like a little girl. Instead, enlighten us all as to how Bama “cheated” in this situation. It would seem that the NCAA would disagree with you, so I’m just curious as to what it is that YOU know that the NCAA doesn’t.

By the way, my degree actually means quite a lot….got me into a top tier law school and led to a pretty good career. How did that certificate from DeVry work out for you?

RTR, all the way to #16.

    Coach can’t coach,just recruit…
    Players can’t play,just have good coach…
Programs cheats and NCAA lets them….
    They don’t play anyone good…..
Other teams just as good, just don’t get the chance to win National Title by winning NC game….
    We are all W.A.B.s

Things read in this comments section….

    Roll Tide….

bama is one of the worst academic schools in this nation, it is a joke. the players can barely speak a coherent sentence. Comparing it to notre dame is laughable. ND has ethics sat out a quarterback for cheating for a year. if a kid on bama killed Saban they might get a game suspension. The school and the degree is a joke.

best job you can get with a bama degree is manager of the local Piggly Wiggly.

    Roll Morons!!!

  15. dcroz says: Oct 19, 2013 11:19 AM

Alabama had the highest number of National Merit scholars of any public university in its 2012 freshman class. It consistently ranks in the top 50 public universities in the country. Hardly a joke.

And judging by your poor grammar and punctuation, it looks like your graduating magma cum laude from East Boondocks Hair Care, Tire Service, and Lawnmower Repair Tech did you no favors. That ‘Bama guy managing the local Pig would still be three rungs up the ladder from you.

  16. mehtoolazy says: Oct 19, 2013 11:37 AM

Aww, this poor tony guy has one hell of an inferiority complex (they teach about those at Bama). Don’t worry, tony, you can always pick a soccer team to pull for, or perhaps since you’re so concerned with academics, you could pick a Quiz Bowl team to get behind.

  17. thegeneral7694 says: Oct 19, 2013 11:53 AM

So, tony…. Still no answer as to how Bama cheated or displayed a lack of integrity in this situation… surprise there. Nothing but pi$$ and vinegar, which is completely typical for mouth breathing knuckledraggers. And until you figure out how to use capitalization and commas, perhaps you should refrain from disparaging the education of others. It must suck to be so wrapped up in Bama envy….

paying their players which was proven and more than one. paying recruits

    should i go on?

yes i am uneducated haha. i graduated with honors from one of the best school in the world. Not a glorified community college.

keep rooting for an entire conference which makes you weak as hell.

yes when people think about culture in the US they think about Alalbama, haha.

The only culture and history they have is the history of the Klan and burning crosses on people’s lawn, it is your history, OWN IT!

  20. dkhhuey says: Oct 19, 2013 1:22 PM

I am a big Bama fan today!!! Nothing makes me smile more than seeing the clueless, almost about to cry look Bubba Bret’s fat face when he is getting his a$$ kicked! I do miss his chunky self at the helm of Wisconsin!!!

Yet it takes an Alabama grad to show you that your punctuation and sentence structure is lacking. Capitalization at the beginning of a coherent sentence leads the noun to the supporting predicate and verbs necessary to convey thought.

Maybe you should ask for a refund from the correspondence school you read about on the back of the matchbook you picked up after cleaning up the stadium after Saturday’s game.

Since amosalonzostagg pointed out that you write like a chimp with Parkinson’s, I’ll just address the random and semi-coherent collection of thoughts you spewed out.

Deer antler spray: Did you really write that? OMG, you’re desperate. What exactly does that have to do with HaHa, which is the subject of this thread?

Paying players: If you’re talking about HaHa, ok…but see, the NCAA knows all about that, and determined that Bama’s compliance office handled it correctly. They reinstated him. No, it was not proper, and it shouldn’t have happened, but if you think a loan is the same as paying someone…well, that’s your problem. If you’re talking about any other player…no, that isn’t proven, and no, that doesn’t have anything to do with the HaHa situation.

Paying recruits – no, that’s not proven, and no, that doesn’t have anything to do with the HaHa situation. Yeah, why would any 5 star player want to come play for the team that’s won 3 of the last 4 titles? It MUST be the promise of a $300 loan that will have to be repaid, right? Take off the tinfoil hat, dude.

And, tony, the fact that you referenced the Klan says a lot more about you than it does about us. I don’t know what state you’re from (or what team you root for) because you don’t have the ball$ to say, but every state’s history has instances of things they aren’t (or shouldn’t be) proud of. And none of that has anything to do with football, which is what we’re talking about.

KKK started in Tennessee, by the way, not “Alalbama”, wherever that is.

  24. be4bama says: Oct 21, 2013 7:10 AM

    @Thegeneral7694……Tony is a domer.

  25. thegeneral7694 says: Oct 21, 2013 8:25 AM

Ah, that explains his vitriol for the Tide. He’s still crying over the prison-style whupping Bama put on his ladies. Mystery solved…and now we know that anything he has to say about Bama is just pi$$ and vinegar from a sore loser.

Te’o wasn’t missing tackles…he was just trying to hug his girlfriend, right, Tony?

  26. dhardy8207 says: Oct 22, 2013 10:06 AM

Glad to see HaHa back and he played like he was thankful to be back. I was glad to see all our new young talent taking the field in the 4th quarter. We have some promising players starting next year…

Back to the drawing board for the hogs and LOOK OUT VOLS you’re next on the list. Vols are looking really good so hopefully this will be a good competitive game…
