Bielema’s Razorbacks dig 28-0 hole against Saban’s Tide

Alabama continues to flex their muscle in SEC play. The Crimson Tide are shutting out Arkansas in Tuscaloosa at the half, leading the Razorbacks 28-0.

AJ McCarron has been locked in for the Tide, efficiently completing 12 of 16 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. Kenyan Drake has rushed for a game-high 85 yards and two touchdowns as well. Alabama has 270 yards of offense as well.

Arkansas just does not have the talent right now to be on the same field with Alabama. This game could continue to turn ugly in the second half unless Bret Bielema can find a way to crack this strong Alabama defense. even if he does, digging out of a 28-point hole in Tuscaloosa is extremely rare.

Alabama looks well on their way to another win, which would seem to be difficult for higher ranked SEC teams to be coming by today. South Carolina, Georgia, and Texas A&M all lost today, and LSU went to halftime trailing Ole Miss 10-0 in Oxford, Mississippi. The only higher ranked team to win so far today in the SEC was Vanderbilt, who blew away Florida in impressive fashion.

I think you mean Missouri blew away Florida, not Vandy. And even so, the Gators were three-point favorites. So as of 9:00 EDT, in the six SEC games played, there have been four upsets, one favorite trailing at the half, and one favorite leading. The Third Saturday in October 2013 has been a memorable one.

Bielema has got to be the biggest bust of all the new SEC hires. Malzahn and Butch Jones are lighting it up!

    Oh and this:

“The only higher ranked team to win so far today in the SEC was Vanderbilt, who blew away Florida in impressive fashion.”

I think you mean Missouri… not Vanderbilt.

Hey Arkansas how is that hire working out for you? I know these are not HIS players, but he may not be around to see his first senior class like Rich Rod. He is not a SEC coach.

It’s great to see Bielema falling on his face in the SEC. I can’t think of any other HC’s that i dislike more than this clown.
