Alabama continues to flex their muscle in SEC play. The Crimson Tide are shutting out Arkansas in Tuscaloosa at the half, leading the Razorbacks 28-0.
AJ McCarron has been locked in for the Tide, efficiently completing 12 of 16 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. Kenyan Drake has rushed for a game-high 85 yards and two touchdowns as well. Alabama has 270 yards of offense as well.
Arkansas just does not have the talent right now to be on the same field with Alabama. This game could continue to turn ugly in the second half unless Bret Bielema can find a way to crack this strong Alabama defense. even if he does, digging out of a 28-point hole in Tuscaloosa is extremely rare.
Alabama looks well on their way to another win, which would seem to be difficult for higher ranked SEC teams to be coming by today. South Carolina, Georgia, and Texas A&M all lost today, and LSU went to halftime trailing Ole Miss 10-0 in Oxford, Mississippi. The only higher ranked team to win so far today in the SEC was Vanderbilt, who blew away Florida in impressive fashion.
