Georgia Tech LB Anthony Harrell likely lost for year

It appears Georgia Tech linebacker Anthony Harrell is out for the year after suffering a leg injury against Syracuse this past Saturday, Yellowjackets coach Paul Johnson said on Monday.

The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder had just taken over the starting middle linebacker from fellow sophomore Jabari Hunt-Days before getting hurt in the second half of Tech’s win over the Orange. The switch seemed to help, too, as Tech shut out Syracuse, 56-0, after allowing 45 and 38 points the previous two weeks in losses to Miami and BYU, respectively.

Harrell had four tackles, including one tackle for loss, against Syracuse. He had 12 tackles and two TFL overall on the season.

Now, Hunt-Days will likely reclaim his starting job for the Yellowjackets’ game at Virginia this weekend.
