Marqise Lee listed as questionable for Utah game

Well, after the spate of injuries that continue to slam head-first into USC’s roster, of course he is.

Coming on the heels of season-ending injuries to their second-leading rusher and a starting linebacker, Marqise Lee is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against Utah. Thus far this week, the junior has been held out of practice.

The 2012 All-American, an immense talent who’s become a sad symbol of a lost 2013 season in the Land of Troy, aggravated a lingering knee injury in the loss to Notre Dame this past weekend. Lee originally suffered the injury in a late-September loss to Arizona State returning a punt.

The injury kept him from playing in the Oct. 10 win against Arizona.

Last season, Lee caught 118 passes for 1,721 yards and 14 touchdowns as a consensus and unanimous All-American. As a true freshman in 2011, Lee was at 73-1143-11 as a consensus and unanimous freshman All-American.

This season, through Week 8, Lee has 32 receptions for 403 yards and a touchdown as he -- and the entire offense -- has been hit with a one-two punch when it comes to production: a new starting quarterback and the firing of a head coach the first month of the season.
