Air Force RB Anthony LaCoste rumbles for 263 yards against Army

San Diego State Air Force Football AP

Air Force running back Anthony LaCoste had a career day on Saturday, rushing for 263 rush yards on 23 carries as the Falcons (2-7) snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 42-28 win over Army (3-6) on Saturday.

It was the second-most yards in a game in school history and nearly doubled LaCoste’s output on the year. Coming into the game, the senior had 341 yards and three touchdowns on the season.

LaCoste rumbled for touchdown runs of 73 and 78 yards and helped Air Force keep the pesky Black Knights at bay. He had just one previous 100-yard game in his career, but it came two weeks ago against San Diego State. In the last three weeks, he is averaging 144 yards per game.
