Houston dismisses freshman RB

A player expected to contribute on the offensive side of the ball in the coming years no longer has a future, at least with the Cougars, thanks to an off-field issue.

UH announced Friday that true freshman running back Joseph Glenn has been dismissed from the football program by head coach Tony Levine. As if you didn’t already know, the dismissal was attributed to the standard violation of unspecified team rules.

Glenn, who was an early enrollee and participated in spring practice, was taking a redshirt for his first season with the Cougars.

A three-star member of UH’s 2013 recruiting class, Glenn was rated as the No. 16 all-purpose back in the country coming out of high school in Giddings, Tex.
