Report: family situation costs TCU its second-leading receiver

An off-field issue will cost TCU one of its top playmakers on the offensive side of the ball today.

Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that Brandon Carter will not play for the Horned Frogs in the Big 12 game against West Virginia. A source told Stevenson that the wide receiver is dealing with an unspecified family situation.

Carter is currently tied for second on the team in receptions with 17 and tied for third in receiving yards with 197.
