A bout with turf toe was too much for Virginia cornerback Demetrious Nicholson to overcome so the junior will be forced to miss the rest of the season, Cavaliers coach Mike London said on Monday.
Nicholson was injured against Ball State back on Oct. 5 and the lingering effects of the injury has dogged him ever since. He had started 30 games up to that point but has missed every game since.
He’ll end the season with 20 tackles, four pass break ups and an interception.
Freshman Tim Harris has been playing in Nicholson’s place since the injury. He’s got 20 tackles and two pass break ups.
