As Wisconsin takes a mini-break from its Big Ten slate this Saturday, the availability of its best receiving threat is up in the air.
Jared Abbrederis suffered some type of rib injury midway through the second quarter of last Saturday’s win over Iowa and did not return. The wide receiver did very little work in practice Tuesday, leaving his self-appointed prognosis for this Saturday’s game against BYU as “day-to-day.”
Abbrederis said he didn’t know when a determination will be made as to his availability for the nonconference game.
“I don’t think there is a test that you have to do,” Abbrederis said of his injured ribs being medically cleared.
Through eight games this season, Abbrederis leads the Badgers with 46 receptions for 782 yards and six touchdowns, The second-leading totals on the team are 23, 251 and three, respectively.
