Two of SMU’s top WRs should be a healthy go for Sat.

As SMU gets set to begin a stretch run of five straight games toward, they hope, bowl eligibility, the Mustangs will likely have two of its most productive receivers in tow.

While allowing that neither Jeremy Johnson nor Keenan Holman likely wouldn’t have been healthy enough to play this past weekend were it not for a bye, head coach June Jones said Tuesday that both should be at or near 100-percent healthy for Saturday’s game against Cincinnati. Johnson has been dealing with the after-effects of a concussion, while Holman has been bothered by a shoulder injury.

Both Johnson and Holman are key pieces to the Mustangs’ passing puzzle.

Johnson leads all receivers in yards with 752 and is tied for the team lead with 64 receptions. Holman’s 665 yards are second to Johnson, while he’s third with 42 catches. Holman also leads the team with six touchdown receptions.
