Tajh Boyd hurt his collarbone in No. 7 Clemson’s 55-31 victory over Georgia Tech last Thurday, but the Tigers’ quarterback will practice and play this week in his final home game against The Citadel, head coach Dabo Swinney said on Monday.
Boyd bruised his left shoulder late in the third quarter against the Yellow Jackets and was taken to the locker room for x-rays. No broken bones were found.
The senior has 2,960 passing yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions so far this season. Not that the Tigers will need him to get a win over The Citadel, but the ACC’s all-time passing leader certainly won’t miss a chance to play in front of the home crowd one last time.
