Alabama center Ryan Kelly a game-time decision for Iron Bowl

Alabama center Ryan Kelly (knee) will be a game-time decision for the Iron Bowl, coach Nick Saban said Wednesday (via AL.com).

Kelly sprained his knee during practice Tuesday and was limited in practice on Wednesday. He missed three games earlier this season with a similar knee sprain, though Saban said this latest injury isn’t as serious.

If Kelly can’t go against Auburn, Alabama will turn to junior Chad Lindsay. Saban heaped praise on Lindsay, again via AL.com:

“Ryan has a little more experience because he’s played more, mostly this year, but Chad did a really good job for us and we have every confidence in him,” Saban said. “It’s an opportunity for him. If Ryan can’t play, I’m sure he’ll do a good job for us.”

Auburn is averaging about two sacks per game this season (24 in 11 games), while Alabama is allowing less than a sack per game (nine in 11 games).
