Ex-USC coordinator Kennedy Polamalu hired by UCLA

Kennedy Polamalu has gone over to “The Dark Side.”

Back in February, Polamalu was fired by then-USC head coach Lane Kiffin as the Trojans offensive coordinator. After sitting out the 2013 season, Polamalu is reportedly back in the coaching game.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that Polamalu has been hired by USC’s crosstown rival UCLA as running backs coach. Polamalu would replace Steve Broussard, who was fired by head coach Jim Mora earlier this week.

An official announcement from the football program on Polamalu’s hiring could come as early as today.

Polamalu played his college football at USC, and spent two stints at his alma mater as an assistant. He did, though, begin his coaching career with the Bruins as a grad assistant in 1992 and 1993.
