No snow yet, but it’s coming for Army Navy Game

The Army Navy Game in Philadelphia really is one of the best traditions in the sport of college football, and if the weather forecast is any indication we could be in store for some fantastic scenery this afternoon. Snow is expected to arrive in Philadelphia at some point during the game today, although snow predictions have altered over the past 24 hours.

Whatever happens with the snow though, Navy will be looking to pick up their 12th straight win against rival Army.

Usually when teams are playing in the snow the idea is to go rely more on the running game. That should be a natural for these two teams, as both Army and Navy base on their offense on the running game. In fact, if there is snow you may not even be able to tell any difference in offensive schemes because the play selection may not change all that much.

There is an interesting observer in attendance today as well. Former Auburn head coach Gene Chizik is checking out the game from the press box this afternoon. Army head coach Rich Ellerson may be on a bit of a hot seat, but don’t count on Chizik being here to scout out a potential employer.
