Ex-Florida TE will transfer to Kansas

Former Florida tight end Kent Taylor confirmed via Twitter on Tuesday that he has decided to transfer to Kansas.

Taylor was the No. 1-ranked tight end in the class of 2012 but he only caught two passes in his first two seasons in Gainesville. His lone touchdown catch game in the 2013 Sugar Bowl loss to Louisville.

At 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, Taylor has the athletic ability to shine, but the woes of the Gator offense weren’t exactly conducive to that happening.

Taylor is one of six Gators to announce their transfer from Florida this month. All played on the offensive side of the ball.

He should be a quality addition to a Jayhawks roster that is in dire need of talent.
