The NFL’s Black Monday is upon us, and with it comes a spate of rumors involving college coaches. David Shaw is among the rumored names, though the Stanford coach reiterated on Monday he has “no desire” to leave Palo Alto.
Shaw has previously maintained he has no interest in leaving Stanford, so this isn’t too surprising. It’s also not surprising NFL teams could come after Shaw, who’s continued the success Jim Harbaugh brought to the Cardinal before departing for San Francisco.
With a bunch of NFL jobs opening up in the last 24 hours (Detroit, Tampa Bay, Minnesota, Washington, Cleveland) as well as the Houston gig being open, this string of coaching rumors at the college level won’t slow down anytime soon.
