The Cal Bears will be without one more linebacker in the 2014 season. Khairi Fortt will skip on his final year of eligibility with the Bears and enter the NFL Draft. The school confirmed the decision Friday.
Fortt recorded 64 tackles this season for Cal, after sitting out a redshirt year in 2012. Fortt was one of the players from Penn State who took advantage of the NCAA’s free transfer opportunity as part of the sanction terms slapped on the Nittany Lions in the aftermath of the Jerry Sandusky scandal and release of the Freeh Report.
