Texas is expected to announce Louisville’s Charlie Strong as its new head coach on Sunday, according to a report on early Saturday evening from CBSSports.com.
The report comes on top of reports on Friday that Texas and Strong have agreed to a five-year contract that would pay Strong $5 million per year.
As recently as Saturday morning, Strong told his staff at Louisville that a decision had not been made, but whatever issues that existed appear to have been ironed out in the past several hours.
Strong, who is 37-15 at Louisville, interviewed with Texas last week.
