UCLA OL Xavier Su’a-Filo declares for NFL draft

Xavier Su'a-Filo AP

UCLA lost its best offensive lineman on Saturday when guard Xavier Su’a-Filo announced via Twitter that he was bypassing his final year of eligibility to enter the 2014 NFL draft.

Su’a-Filo was a two-time first-team All-Pac-12 selection and the most experienced player on UCLA’s young offensive line.

His leaving for the draft is not a surprise since Su’a-Filo is already 23 years old as the result of his taking two years off for a Mormon mission back in 2010.

The Bruins will miss his athletic ability, but they’ve done a great job of stockpiling line talent in recent years. Many true freshmen gained valuable experience in 2013, so there should be no shortage of available linemen to take his place.

Not sure if your trying to joke or clown here?

For the record, Samoans and other Polys have been playing in the league for a good thirty years They are continually produce some of the best players and indivduals you could ask for.

As far as I’m concerned, the more, the better.

Congrats to you Braddah, good luck at the next level.
