LSU OL Trai Turner is latest Tiger to turn pro

LSU offensive lineman Trai Turner had decided two bypass his final two years of eligibility to make himself available for next spring’s NFL draft, according a report from the New Orleans Times Picayune.

The sophomore was an All-SEC second-team selection this past season while starting every game at right guard.

He joins teammates Jeremy Hill, Ego Ferguson, Anthony Johnson, Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham in the draft. Fellow Tigers offensive lineman La’El Collins could also declare before Wednesday’s deadline.

While the number of LSU early entries continues to climb, it’s unlikely to match the exodus from Baton Rouge last season, when the Tigers sent a record 11 players early to the draft.
