Suspended license nets UGA’s Shaq Wiggins an arrest

Oh those wacky kids and their crazy failure to appears.

Georgia cornerback Shaq Wiggins, the Athens Banner-Herald is reporting, was arrested Sunday night for driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop.  Wiggins was pulled over for speeding and, after his driver’s license was checked by an Athens-Clarke police officer, it was learned that it had been suspended.

The reason for the suspension, of course, was failure to appear in court on another matter.

The paper writes that “Wiggins… is unlikely to face any suspension for the arrest.”  Instead, any punishment stemming from the incident would likely be handled internally by the football program.

A four-star member of UGA’s 2013 recruiting class, Wiggins started eight games as a true freshman this past season.  His two interceptions were tops on the team.

He should tell the judge that he didn’t appear in court because Todd Grantham never taught him anything about getting into a position to take care of business.

If Shaq Wiggins was a four star recruit, then we need to seriously audit that ranking system. My gosh, he was out of position 50% of the time and plays too soft to stop anything.

Most used phrase by the UGA secondary last season: “Oh crap!”.

    Yes, I’m bitter.

1.It’s a freaking speeding ticket. 2. After which they found his license was suspended. Oh no!!! call in the freaking SWAT team ASAP!!!

You clowns are hilarious, get a reality check. People get traffic tickets all the time. Just because a young freshman gets a simple traffic violation all the ignorant azz-hats who hate the SEC start screaming for the guys head. WTF ever, you guys are pathetic.

Get over yourselves, really not that big a deal.

Uumm SEC fan here and I was the first to comment on this thread so not an “SEC hater.” Tis true that “people get traffic tickets all the time”. However, most people pay them or atleast appear in court if they can’t. It ceased to be a matter of a “simple traffic violation” when a bench warrant was issued and an arrest was made.

I wasn’t screaming for his head btw; I was joking because of the police blotter that calculates “days without an arrest” is often referred to when an article like this is posted…

Even with a bench warrant, it’s still a simple traffic violation, you would know that if you actually understood the purpose of a bench warrant.

Like I said before not that big of a deal however, keep trying to hide your ignorance with irrelevant justification

    @ gamustangdude;

You really need some anger management. I don’t need to justify anything. Lay off the roids “dude”!

so you don’t like what I have to say and therefor can’t give an intelligent response so in turn you make the ignorant assumption that I’m angry? In addition, somehow between the commas and periods that I’ve typed, you’ve been also able to determine that I’m on “roids” too?

Wow, you’re an intelligent one. You assumed I was talking about you in the first place and then have the nerve to call me angry?

I will from now on ignore you, i only hope you are trolling and not really as ignorant as you have potrayed here. good bye, and i feel sorry for you
