Stanford’s Ed Reynolds off The Farm, off to NFL

For the second time in as many days, Stanford has lost a starter to the NFL.

This time around it’s Ed Reynolds leaving eligibility on the table, with the school announcing via Twitter that the defensive back won’t return for a fifth season and will instead make himself available for the May draft.

Each of the past two seasons, Reynolds, who is scheduled to graduate this spring, was accorded first-team All-Pac-12 honors. In 2012, the free safety returned three of his six interceptions for touchdowns.

After playing in five games as a true freshman in 2010 and missing the 2011 season with an injury suffered during spring practice, Reynolds started every game each of the past two years.

Monday afternoon, the Cardinal confirmed that offensive lineman David Yankey would be entering the NFL draft instead of returning for another season.
