In late November, Kentuck’s Demarco Robinson was indefinitely suspended for violating unspecified rules. Two months later, the wide receiver has likely ensconced himself even further into head coach Mark Stoops’ doghouse.
Jen Smith of the Lexington Herald-Leader is reporting that a UK spokesperson has confirmed that Robinson was arrested recently and hit with a pair of charges -- resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The Louisville Courier-Journal reported that Robinson was also charged with violation of a noise ordinance. Details of when and what led to the arrest are not immediately available.
Smith stated that Stoops is on the road recruiting and will deal with the “Robinson situation” when he returns.
Through the first 10 games of the 2013 season, Robinson was the Wildcats’ third leading receiver with 20 catches for 213 yards and two touchdowns. The junior did not play in the last two games of the season because of the suspension.
