Less than a week after leaving Miami, Malcolm Bunche has found a landing spot... on the opposite side of the country.
Multiple media outlets reported late Sunday night that the offensive lineman has decided to transfer to UCLA and continue his playing career with the Bruins. This morning, Bunche’s father confirmed to the Miami Herald that "[l]ate last night... Malcolm committed to UCLA.”
Bunche had also visited Texas Tech before making his decision, the dad said.
As Bunche will be a graduate transfer, he will be eligible to play immediately in 2014. This season will be the lineman’s final year of eligibility.
After starting 12 games in 2012, Bunche, a three-star member of UM’s 2010, started just one game this past season.
