Notre Dame Stadium tops list of college football stadium experiences

Stadium Journey Magazine recently came out with its list of top 100 stadium experiences and Notre Dame Stadium was the highest-ranking college football venue, placing eighth.

Bryant-Denny Stadium was the second college stadium on the list, ranking 26th, while the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum -- home of USC -- ranked 27th.

Other college stadiums that made the list:

32nd -- Darrel K. Royal (Texas)

45th -- The Rose Bowl (UCLA)

46th -- Blaik Field at Michie Stadium (Army)

47th -- Spartan Stadium (Michigan State)

48th -- Michigan Stadium (Michigan)

51st -- Ohio Stadium (Ohio State)

68th -- Memorial Stadium (Clemson)

70th -- Kyle Field (Texas A&M)

91st -- Memorial Stadium (Nebraska)

95th -- Carrier Dome (Syracuse)

While I’m sure the good people at Stadium Journey Magazine know what they are talking about, I’m a bit shocked to see the home of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes being listed ahead of, say, Autzen Stadium in Eugene or Tigers Stadium in Baton Rouge. Notre Dame Stadium? Yeah, that makes sense. Rancho Cucamonga? No way.

What say you?
