North Carolina needs a new offensive coordinator and it could be close to hiring Indiana offensive coordinator Seth Littrell to fill the same position for the Tar Heels, according to a report on Monday from CarolinaBlue.com.
There probably aren’t many OCs out there right now who would be a better fit to replace the departed Blake Anderson, who left to become the head coach at Arkansas State.
The Hoosier offense was dynamic under Littrell this past fall, scoring over 38 points and piling up over 500 yards per game. If the Indiana defense was worth its salt, the Hoosiers probably would’ve made a bowl. Littrell’s hire would be a shot in the arm for a UNC offense that struggled against quality competition in 2012.
The Tar Heels certainly have the talent to be more explosive on offense. We might get a chance to see it happen this fall.
