Ex-Michigan RB great Mike Hart to coach same position at WMU

Mike Hart

After spending the past two seasons at one directional Michigan school, former Michigan star Mike Hart has moved on to another.

Citing unnamed school officials, reported overnight that Hart has decided to leave his post as Eastern Michigan’s running backs coach to take the same position with Western Michigan.  Hart spent two of his three years at EMU as the running backs coach.

The website wrote that “the official announcement of the hiring of Hart will happen once proper background checks are complete.”

Hart, who had been the only assistant retained by new EMU head coach Chris Creighton, will replace Charles Huff, who left WMU to take the same job on James Franklin‘s Penn State staff.

The all-time leading rusher in Wolverines history (5,040 yards from 2004-07), Hart spent three seasons with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts before ending what was an injury-plagued pro career.

As a life long Buckeye, this guy was the man. He was the only that kept UM in the 06 game. We couldn’t tackle that guy!!

He sure was the man. Bucks were 4-0 vs him

A true Michigan man. He was more famous for calling Michigan State “little brother” (how’d that work out in the long run, by the way?) and for trash talking Ohio State and then spending the entire game on an exercise bike on the sidelines (he was 0-4 against the Buckeyes) than for anything else.

Maybe he can teach WMU how to trash talk and then never back it up. WMU could use the help, having won only one game last year. At least, with Hart’s guidance, they could talk trash before losing eleven games next season.

In the long run? Pretty good. Michigan is 68–33–5 against Michigan State.

Hey Hart, I believe WMU is on Ohio State’s schedule in ’15 as it’s MAC opponent… get ready to be 0 and 5 against the Buckeyes; 0-4 as a player and 0-1 as a coach. Couldn’t happen to a nicer loud mouth midget than you…

“Bike” the midget Hart, what a classless clown.

And what were Mike’s stats against NCAA-sanctioned-for-cheating OSU?
2006 Hart 23 rushes for 142 yards and 3 TDs.
    Not bad.
