Ohio State’s Marcus Baugh again cited for underage imbibing

For the second (third?) time in six months, Ohio State’s Marcus Baugh has gotten popped for doing something that just seems to come natural for college-age individuals.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, the tight end has been cited for the underage consumption of alcohol. The citation was issued Friday night near the Columbus campus, although what led to the misdemeanor was not detailed.

The Dispatch reports that Baugh is facing punitive measures that could include a suspension of at least two games because of his previous run-in. In mid-July of last year, Baugh was cited for underage consumption as well as carrying false identification. The OSU-centric website ElevenWarriors.com reports that this is actually Baugh’s “third underage consumption,” writing “in September, he ran afoul of team rules and was removed from all team activities.”

He was suspended for the season opener because of that July citation. Baugh ultimately redshirted what was his true freshman season.

A school spokesperson told the paper Tuesday night that they were unaware of Baugh’s latest legal run-in.

A four-star member of the Buckeyes’ 2013 recruiting class, Baugh was rated as the No. 6 tight end in the country and the No. 18 player at any position in the state of California.
