Mizzou WR Levi Copelin charged with peace disturbance

For the sixth consecutive day, and the seventh time in the past eight, an FBS player has triggered a resetting of the “Days Without An Arrest” ticker.

The latest to get it back to double zeroes is Missouri wide receiver Levi Copelin, who was arrested Thursday night for disturbing the peace. The charge courtesy of the university police is a Class B misdemeanor.

As to what led to the charge, Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch tweeted that “MU Police say Copelin went to [the] student union to get a new ID yesterday. A hold was on his account & he made threatening comments.”

Mizzou has not commented on Copelin’s legal situation, although Matter says they are aware of it.

As a redshirt freshman in 2013, Copelin had three catches for 61 yards. He was a three-star member of the Tigers’ 2012 recruiting class.
