Ole Miss defensive back Bobby Hill has been arrested by Oxford police as the result of an alleged sexual assault. Hill has been indefinitely suspended by Ole Miss until the legal process has played out.

According to a report by local television station WTVA, Hill was taken to a detention center on Tuesday and is being held on a $10,000 bond.

Details of the alleged assault have not been released at this time, but more information on the incident in question will likely be detailed soon.

“We are aware of the situation and recognize the proper authorities are responsible for the matter,” Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement, shared by Saturday Down South. “Bobby has been indefinitely suspended from all football activities while the process moves forward. We take this very seriously and will make decisions once the course of action is complete.”

As a freshman, Hill played in 10 games for the Rebels in 2013, with most of his plays coming on special teams duties. Hill was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2013.according to

    I totally agree with you guys (drubyy and derek). The SEC is fully engaged with the proper authorities to help bring this matter to a close. If found not guilty, Bobby will be allowed back on the team. Until then, he gets due process as is his right.

    How many other recent examples can you quote of a conference balancing the rights of the accused and the rights of the victim?

    Thanks for the support. :)

    @gatorcheme …

    Popped over to quickly scan the headlines and wouldn’t typically have clicked on this story … but just wanted to see if the resident goobers were here posting “SEC SEC” and “only in the SEC.” Of course, they were. Apparently that’s their only function in life.

    But at least it gave me the opportunity to read an intelligent post from someone whose knuckles don’t scrape the street when he walks. Thanks 😉

    Yeah, that’s right. Bad behavior only happens in the SEC.

    You dumbass dipshits…
