Toledo loses QBs coach to Ohio

Scott Isphording

(The MAC’s Ohio, not Brady Hoke‘s.)

While Ohio University has yet to announce the addition, Toledo head coach Matt Campbell confirmed to the Toledo Blade that Scott Isphording has left the Rockets for the Bobcats.  Isphording will serve as OU’s co-offensive coordinator, sharing that title with Tim Albin.

Isphording had spent the past four seasons at Toledo, most recently serving as quarterbacks coach.  The move to the Bobcats will be a homecoming of sorts for Isphording, who coached tight ends at OU in 2008 before moving on to UT.

On his Twitter account Friday morning, Isphording confirmed that he was indeed moving on to Athens.

Ohio University’s official Twitter account retweeted that last missive, which in this day and age is as solid of a confirmation as you can get prior to the official press release announcing the move.
