LSU lands Rivals No. 2 WR Malachi Dupre

With its top two wide receivers -- Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham -- leaving school early for the NFL, LSU was looking for some immediate help to replace that lost production. In a big way, the Bayou Bengals have done just that.

Five-star recruit Malachi Dupre announced Wednesday morning that he has decided to sign with LSU and play his college football with the Tigers. Arguably the best part of Dupre’s signing is that Les Miles and his coaching staff was able to keep one of the most talented players in the state at home as the receiver hails from River Ridge, La.

The five-star Dupre’s list of finalists included Florida State and UCLA.

In addition to being the second-rated player in the state of Louisiana, the 6-4, 175-pound Dupre -- two words: “weight” and “room” -- was also the No. 2 receiver and the No. 16 player at any position in the country.
